Oticon Zeal

Oticon Zeal is a discreet, rechargeable in-the-ear hearing aid with AI sound processing and Bluetooth connectivity, now available at Center for Healthy Hearing.

For many people, the biggest obstacle to getting a hearing aid isn't the hearing loss itself — it's not wanting to wear something visible. Oticon Zeal is designed with exactly that concern in mind. It's a compact, in-the-ear hearing aid that pairs a nearly invisible fit with full-featured performance, and we're pleased to offer it here at the Center for Healthy Hearing.

What Makes Oticon Zeal Different

Traditional in-the-canal hearing aids have often required tradeoffs — smaller size usually meant less power, fewer features, or no wireless connectivity. Oticon Zeal takes a different approach. Using an innovative encapsulation process, the entire device is enclosed in a single solid structure, which allows Oticon to fit a rechargeable battery, advanced AI processing, and Bluetooth connectivity into an in-ear form factor that sits nearly invisible in the canal.

The device is powered by Oticon's Sirius chip and second-generation Deep Neural Network (DNN 2.0), the same platform found in the Oticon Intent. The AI processing is always on, working in real-time to support speech clarity in noisy environments and reduce background noise. Oticon's BrainHearing™ technology gives the brain access to the full sound scene — not a filtered-down version of it — so your auditory system can do what it naturally does.

Key Features of Oticon Zeal

Oticon Zeal brings together a range of capabilities that have rarely been available together in an in-ear style device:

  • Discreet, nearly invisible design — fits fully in the ear canal with no external receiver or wire
  • Second-generation AI (DNN 2.0) — trained on real-world sound samples for improved speech clarity in noise
  • Up to 20 hours of battery life — rechargeable with a portable SmartCharger; 15 minutes of charging provides up to 4 hours of use
  • Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast™ — stream directly from your phone, TV, tablet, or PC, and connect to public Auracast broadcasts in venues like theaters and airports
  • Same-day fitting option — can be fit with domes on the first visit, with the option to move to custom micro-molds if needed
  • IP68 rating — moisture and dust resistant

Oticon Zeal fits the majority of ears with a dome and covers a range of hearing losses from mild to moderately severe, with the possibility of extending into the low-severe range with custom earmolds.

Who Is Oticon Zeal For?

Oticon Zeal is worth considering for anyone who wants effective hearing support without visible hardware. It's a practical option for working-age adults, first-time hearing aid wearers, and anyone who has been putting off treatment partly out of concern about appearance.

It's worth noting that getting the most out of any hearing aid — including Oticon Zeal — depends on proper fitting and programming by a qualified audiologist. Over-the-counter hearing devices can provide some amplification, but they don't offer the same level of individualized fitting, fine-tuning, or follow-up care that leads to lasting, comfortable results.
